This page explains what information Self Mastery Tips collects when you visit the site, why, and the choices you have. Last updated: October 31, 2026.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are read and how people arrive). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device, browser and pages visited. It does not tell us who you are. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address (and first name if you give it) is stored by our email provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit), only to send you the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Contact form and comments
When you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, and use them only to reply. Comments are checked for spam by Akismet, which receives the comment, your IP address and browser details for that purpose.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links (for example to Amazon). If you click one, the retailer may set a cookie to know that you came from our site. We do not receive any personal information about you from these retailers.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can ask us to access or delete any personal information you sent us (for example through the contact form or newsletter) by writing to us through our contact page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the tools we use change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
